Give Jeff Sessions a Chance!

@Dogman1013 has agreed to be a Liberty Works contributing writer. This is his first article.

Some are calling for Attorney General Sessions to resign for being a ‘do nothing’ AG. Others say he is working ‘behind the scenes’ to bring justice. I’d like to offer some facts and let you decide for yourself.

Several officials have been fired or resigned from government, mostly left over Obama appointees. Most of these vacancies are a direct result of Department of Justice digging up dirt.

Some of these firings came from information uncovered by the Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General [OIG]. Michael E. Horowitz, Inspector General, [I.G.] U.S. Department of Justice was appointed by President Obama and was kept in place by President Trump to continue his investigative work. Here is a quick overview of  the OIG.

Michael Horowitz has been tasked with, among other things, looking into the abuses of power by FBI and others in the use of FISA court orders to spy on Americans. He is also tasked with looking into the fraud by FBI involved with Hillary Clinton’s Email investigation.

The OIG report was due out this week, but was postponed due to new findings in Clinton email investigation. But it is likely to wrap up this month.

But what about Jeff Sessions? What has he done? Let’s take a look. Because of the high emotions on both sides of the isle about FBI/DOJ wrong doings during Obama’s reign of terror, Sessions needs to have air tight cases before he brings charges against high ranking elites.  Also, Sessions needs to have the American public in his corner. By slowly releasing facts from OIG findings, the public becomes more outraged at the laws that the Independent Council has broken to hinder Trump’s Presidency, thus getting behind Sessions’ investigation. Furthermore, I believe Sessions determined long ago that he wasn’t pressing charges or issuing indictments until the OIG report is finished and becomes public.

At the end of March, 2018, Sessions, under fire from Congress, stated he would not appoint a second Special Council, but instead appointed a Prosecutor, Utah US Attorney John Huber, to work with Horowitz to bring charges against people in high places.

The advantage of Huber as Prosecutor is that he is not in DC. He has the same power as a Special Council and can empower a Grand Jury away from the Liberal Washington DC crowd. This was brilliant.  Imagine! A Grand Jury made up of non-liberals.

The OIG has between 400-500 people working for the IG, doing Session’s investigative work.  The OIG can’t initiate prosecutions itself.  But, with John Huber as  Prosecutor the OIG is able to bring charges against all involved in the failed FBI/DOJ under the Obama Administration.

Additionally, Sessions has empanelled a Grand Jury. Although this was supposed to remain secret, the DoJ inadvertently spilled the beans.

By recusing himself from all things Russia, a fake investigation, Sessions can focus on bringing high ranking officials to justice while others are looking at a “lame duck” Russia investigation. We’re all tired of waiting for justice, but we must realize that the bulk of indictments won’t happen until the OIG report comes out.

I would also point out that by recusing himself from the Russia investigation, Sessions gave the phony investigators enough rope to hang themselves. And they have. The only dirt coming out of Mueller’s witch hunt is on Obama officials. Strzok and Page, Comey and McCabe, Clinton etc

Knowing all this, I find it difficult to remain skeptical of Jeff Sessions. He is the Attorney General who’s job it is to delegate investigations, issue indictments and open a Grand Jury when necessary. He’s done those things.

He is waiting for the OIG to drop the hammer, as planned. I am waiting to see what happens after Horowitz report comes out before questioning Session’s moves or motives. I hope others will as well.
