    Most frightening is the long term – 60 years – trend. It was broken, only temporarily, by the “peace dividend” as you can see in the Bush I and Clinton years.

    And now its out of control. With defense spending as a percent of GDP down now to, what, 3% they can’t raid that pantry much longer.

    I hear New Zealand is a nice place to live.
