Disappearing Manufacturing Jobs

This Afternoon the President gave his obligatory Labor Day  speech to a union audience.  One of his claims was:

“For the first time in eighteen months we’re seeing growth in manufacturing!”

The crowd cheered in delirious approval.  But the President’s claim in this context was misleading. Whatever he meant by “growth in manufacturing”  it was not growth in manufacturing jobs, the one statistic that would be most important to a union crowd.

This Administration’s government-power agenda is a net job killer in every sector of the economy except government.
