Our Friend at The Classic Liberal Blog has nominated your humble proprietor to receive the coveted Honest Scrap Award.  It does come with a condition:  To receive the award I’m required to list ten facts about myself.   So, here goes:Honest+Scrap

  1. My relationship with Jesus Christ is more important than anything else in my life.

  4. I have a wonderful wife, two fabulous step children and nine fabulous grand children.
  5. My wife and I have owned a small business since 1985.
  6. I’m addicted to cars, especially classic cars of the 50s and 60s.
  7. In 1964, before I was old enough to vote, I worked in the L.A. office of the Goldwater for President Campaign, where I met Ronald Reagan.
  8. I worked for both of Reagan’s governor campaigns and his 1980 Presidential campaign.
  9. I’m a proud Army veteran.
  10. The night of December 21, 1966 the VW van I was driving was struck by a train and I survived, with minor injuries.
